How we get infections
- Germs called viruses cause these infections.
- They spread easily when people who are ill cough or sneeze and some of the virus gets into our bodies.
- We don’t get ill every time a virus gets in.
- We only get ill when our defences cannot stop the infection.
- We also get more ill and for longer when our defences are weak.
We can’t avoid picking up all germs.
But we can get our bodies’ defences into tip top shape.
This gives us the best chance of overcoming each infection that tries to get in.
